It's An End of An Era...

HAPPY NEW YEARS, EVERYONE!!!!!!!!

What an incredible way to start the new year! I went to the home of Greg and Sherri Smith, and boy, do they know how to throw a party (I already knew that, of course). We played Rage, Catch Phrase (girls vs. guys, ladies DOMINATED, of course), Beatles Rock Band, even a little Bop-It; we lit off fireworks at midnight, we had all sorts of noise makers, silly string, pop-its, we ate (A LOT!) and drank sparkling cider... It was such an awesome party!! And of course, almost the whole branch family was there, which was soo much fun. <3

Proudest moment: Alex and I teamed up against Ryan and Matt in a violent wrestling match (which started with Ryan silly-stringing my mouth)... ALEX AND I WON. I was holding Ryan off with one hand, and trying to silly string Matt in the face, but Ryan is quite the little monkey and I accidentally broke the cap of the silly string, so I was trying to fix it and hold Ryan down... Alex was leg-riding Matt like crazy, and Matt plays basketball, so he had no idea what was going on. Even so, Matthew is QUITE the athlete (even if he did waste all of his athletic talent on basketball). I was super impressed with Alex's ability to hold Matt down! It was awesome! And Matt's hilarious woman, Kayla, took Alex's and my side haha. We all had a great time (Alex and I more so than Matt and Ryan, bwahaha).

This time last year, I watched "Bill and Ted's Most Excellent Adventure" and the "Hey, Arnold" movie at the Chick's home with some of my closest friends, which included Quinn and Grant, two of my best friends who are now serving missions (our other pal Spencer is also on a mission, but he wasn't with us on New Year's last year). I really thought I'd be kind of sad to be spending this New Year's without those friends, especially since I got to talk to Grant on Christmas, and I am really missing my best friend! But I had a blast. I think Ashley Wolff hit on me way more than Grant ever has! It was pretty funny... Or disturbing, I'm not sure.

I absolutely love the Smiths and being in their amazing home. They are so gracious to have such amazing parties all the time! And Little Miss Genevieve will always be my bestest friend in the whole wide world! I don't even care how crazy I look in this picture, Gen and I both look so happy. I love this girl more than life itself. :)

I don't really believe in New Years Resolutions so much (why wait for a new year to work on something you should/want to be doing?), but I have a lot I want to work on for myself. This is going to be an exciting year! My first whole year being in college - this should be interesting!

PS: This is day 1 of the 365 challenge. Yes, I'm doing that. I'm not taking it too seriously, though, because THIS BLOG IS NOT MY LIFE. I will not be thinking about it every day, so it'll probably end up being like a once a month challenge. Haha. But here's day one!
