THE BEST MLK JR. DAY EVER!!!!!!!!

OKAY. So. It started with an illegally unregistered 5 seater car, crammed with 6 people in it. I was lying across the backseat so that they couldn't see me and we wouldn't get pulled over... We decided to take this car to the opposite side of the island to this cool beach we've heard about from friends, Electric Beach. Unfortunately, the tire flipping POPPED while we were on the highway. We had a spare, but it was pretty flat. We decided the car was more likely to make it to a gas station or something if we didn't have all those people in it, so two people rode in the car and the other 4 of us walked... Well, we were pretty far from any real exits. We walked for a mile or two, and then a cop came. Apparently it's very illegal to walk along the highway... He said usually he would give us each a $200 citation and then make us walk the rest of the way, but he didn't have time to write the tickets because someone just jumped out of a building. So he told us to get in his car... He dropped us off at Pearl City Mall or whatever that place is called WITHOUT ANY TICKETS or anything! And he had his sirens and stuff on the way there. :D It was awesome, to be honest. So then we got in touch with our car friends, and they weren't too far... They got the car to a gas station, but had to walk back and forth from it to this tire place... The tire place said they weren't sure if they had the right kind and that we'd probably have to wait two hours. The two who were there, Marcus and Megan, walked back up this big hill to where the car was to see what kind of tire they needed, went back to the store, needed more information, hiked back to the car and back to the store, and they actually had the right kind or tires in stock! So Megan and Marcus hiked back up the hill to get the mutilated, popped tired, took it to the store, bought a new tire, hiked with the new tire all the way back to the car! Then they came and picked the four walkers up from the mall, and we decided to still go to the beach, since it was only like one (we started our day super early because we wanted to watch the sun rise). So we set out to find Electric Beach. We drove around for TWO FLIPPING HOURS!!!! Then we found a beach, and we were so excited, and it was CLOSED. Catherine and I were getting kind of emotional... Hahaha! So then we found some other beach, and we immediately tried to run right in the water, but there was so much coral and so many rocks, we couldn't do much. So we cooled off for a bit, then sunbathed. Then we went to Wendy's, K-Mart and home! We listened to great music (WICKED!!!!) on the way home, and the whole adventure was just AMAZING!! Even when we were lost, we were still having fun... It's so easy to get frustrated with people in those situations, but we stuck it out like a true Ohana, and we are so much closer because of it! AND we counted our blessing for many things, like the unregistered car could have been towed or ticketed, among THOUSANDS of other things that could have happened... We were so lucky slash blessed!! And we have some amazing stories. :P
